My main monitor occasionally goes black for about 5–10 seconds, usually around twice a day, but there is no consistent pattern. I'm using a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, 32GB of 3200MHz RAM, an RTX 3060 Ti with driver 616.92, an MSI B550-A Pro motherboard, and a Corsair RM750 power supply. The affected display is an ASUS VG27AQ5A running at 200Hz; a Gigabyte G24F is also connected but usually powered off.
The screen goes blank while games continue running normally. I tested while streaming, and the stream did not capture the blink, so the issue seems to occur somewhere between the GPU output and the monitor rather than inside the rendered image. I've already tried a different DisplayPort cable, updating from driver 616.64 to 616.92, disabling G-Sync, and confirming that the monitor is not overclocked. HWiNFO also shows no WHEA errors. What else should I check?

A 5–10 second black screen that isn’t visible in the capture strongly suggests the DisplayPort connection is dropping and then resynchronizing. Try running the monitor at 144Hz or another lower refresh rate for several days. If the problem disappears, the issue is probably related to the 200Hz link—such as the cable, a particular GPU port, or the monitor’s DisplayPort hardware—rather than the game or graphics driver.
I found someone mentioning that this monitor may have a firmware update, so I’m going to try updating it before lowering the refresh rate.
