I'm having real trouble with my Intel i9-14900K. Despite it being a top-tier processor, its performance in Fortnite is really disappointing. I even replaced my old CPU with a brand new i9-14900K, hoping it would resolve the issue, but no luck. I've seen benchmarks showing that the AMD 7800X3D only slightly outperforms the 14900K by about 10-25 FPS. However, when I played Fortnite on my friend's setup with a 7800X3D, he was getting way better FPS—he even has a 5070 TI compared to my 4090, and we were using the same settings. Is anyone else dealing with this? Any insights on what might be causing this performance gap?

Are you running Windows 11? Some users find that Windows 10 might not handle the performance cores of the 14900K properly, which could affect gaming performance.
What motherboard are you using? Sometimes the motherboard can limit the CPU's performance if it's not fully compatible or updated.
First off, which GPU are you using? Also, check if your monitor is connected to the motherboard instead of the GPU—that can really mess with your FPS.
I have a Strix 4090 OC, and my monitor is definitely plugged into the GPU.
