Black screen with loading cursor after Nvidia driver update – any fixes?

After updating my Nvidia drivers yesterday, my computer now boots to a black screen with just a blue loading cursor. I've tried everything I can think of to access my PC, but I keep hitting dead ends. Safe mode fixes seem to be suggested a lot, but I can't get into that either. For context, I have an Alienware Aurora R12 and a 3060ti graphics card. Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you tried connecting your monitors to the motherboard instead of the GPU? Sometimes that can help bypass the graphics driver issues after an update.

I actually have two monitors connected to the graphics card and there aren’t any HDMI or DP ports on the motherboard for me to switch. So that option won’t work.
