A customer's Windows 11 Pro 26H1 Surface Pro with a Snapdragon processor has no system tray at all. The clock, date, battery indicator, notifications, and other tray icons are missing from the bottom-right of the taskbar. I've already rebooted, checked taskbar settings, restarted Explorer, cleared the icon cache, run SFC and DISM checks, and tested with a newly created local account. The problem affects the entire system, and the user does not have local administrator rights. The device is cloud-only joined to Microsoft 365. It has three displays configured, but the issue also occurs with all external displays disconnected. Has anyone encountered this on an ARM-based Windows device or found a reliable fix?

Be careful with registry or display-driver fixes found in informal troubleshooting posts. One reported workaround only helped temporarily and then caused display-driver problems, requiring a clean driver reinstall. I’d start with the Microsoft Store component and approved Surface driver or firmware updates before trying anything more invasive.
This can happen when Windows thinks the tray belongs on another display. Check the display layout and confirm the intended screen is set as the main display. Since you’ve tested with the external monitors disconnected, that probably isn’t the cause in this case.
There have been reports of similar taskbar and tray problems specifically on ARM-based Windows devices. One suggested workaround is installing the relevant Microsoft system-experience component from the Microsoft Store, which restored the missing taskbar elements for some users. It’s worth checking whether that package is installed and up to date.

All three displays are detected and configured correctly, but the tray remains missing even when the Surface is used by itself.
