Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on upgrading my PC for gaming since it wasn't built for that purpose originally. I'm interested in playing games like "Kingdom Come Deliverance", "Baldur's Gate 3", and "Elden Ring". Here's my current setup:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte H510M S2H
- Memory: 16GB
- Processor: Intel i5 10400F
- Graphics Card: GeForce GT 1030
I'm running Ubuntu 24 (64-bit). I've been experiencing crashes with "Elden Ring", and "KCD 1" is lagging. What parts should I consider upgrading? Should I focus on the graphics card, processor, or RAM? Also, I'm contemplating buying second-hand hardware – is that a smart move for both the environment and my wallet? P.S. Apologies if my English isn't perfect; it's not my first language!

You definitely need to upgrade multiple components to get better performance. Focus on getting a new graphics card, as that's where you’ll see the most benefit. Second-hand parts can be a great option if you buy from trusted sellers, so that’s worth considering!
What’s your budget for upgrades? Are you leaning more towards Intel or AMD for the processor? If you're looking to spend around 150 to 200 euros, that could influence your choices!

I don’t have a preference between Intel and AMD. Honestly, I’m not sure what the difference is, so I’m open to suggestions!
