I recently installed Lingmo OS 3.0.5, and my main Wi-Fi network refuses to connect even though the network appears and I'm entering the correct password. Interestingly, connecting through a phone hotspot works normally. My wireless adapter is a Realtek RTL8821CE. What should I check to figure out why my regular Wi-Fi connection is failing?

Lingmo is a fairly niche distribution, so hardware support may be less polished than on larger projects. If troubleshooting doesn’t help, Fedora with GNOME could be a more reliable alternative while still allowing you to customize the desktop with a macOS-inspired look.
Can you check whether the issue is specific to the RTL8821CE? Run `lspci -nnk` in a terminal and look for the Network controller section. That will show which driver is being used. Also check for any connection or authentication errors, since the adapter may work with a hotspot but have trouble with your router’s security settings or wireless band.
The RTL8821CE can be troublesome on some Linux distributions, especially if the driver or firmware isn’t set up correctly. Make sure the system is fully updated and that the appropriate Realtek firmware or driver package is installed. It may also be worth testing whether the router is using WPA3-only security or a 5 GHz mode that the installed driver handles poorly; temporarily trying WPA2 and 2.4 GHz can help narrow it down.
