Has anyone else had problems using Apple Cash over the past day or two? Three members of my family tried using it in different places—a convenience store, an online checkout, and a fast-food restaurant. Each account had enough money, but the payments were declined and the funds immediately disappeared from the available balance. The money eventually returned several hours later, but the temporary holds are extremely frustrating. We also saw another customer experience the same issue at the convenience store.

This happened to me too, while I was trying to pay for gas. The payment was declined, and the balance took a while to correct itself.
This also happened to me yesterday, and more than $900 temporarily disappeared after a failed purchase. The funds eventually came back, but it’s concerning when the balance drops by that much.
I’m seeing the same thing. It looks like the payment attempts are creating temporary holds even though the transactions don’t go through.
I called support and was told there’s a systemwide Apple Cash problem. They didn’t have an estimated time for a fix and suggested checking again tomorrow.
Thanks for the update. Hopefully they resolve it soon, because the delayed balance restoration is causing a lot of problems.
