Should I Upgrade My PC or Buy a New One?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on whether I should upgrade my current PC or just bite the bullet and buy a new one. Here are the specs of my build: I've got a Zalman Z3 PLUS case, an AMD Ryzen 7 1700X CPU, a B350 PC MATE motherboard, 16GB of RAM, and a mix of storage including a Crucial P3 Plus 1TB NVMe SSD and a couple of HDDs. For graphics, I'm running an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 and I've got two ViewSonic VX2457-mhd monitors. My budget is around €1000, though I could go higher if someone can convince me it's worth it. I'm mainly using my PC for gaming, especially games like PUBG. I can assemble everything myself, so that's a plus! Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I’d suggest reusing your existing parts to save money. Upgrading your CPU and maybe getting more RAM could give you the best performance for your budget. Also, think about upgrading your monitors; a 1440p upgrade would be great for gaming!

You have a solid foundation, but definitely consider upgrading instead of going full new build. A Ryzen 5600X and a decent GPU should keep you gaming on high settings for a while, and you can save money. Just be sure to check if your PSU can handle the new components!

I love my 1070 too, but trust me, upgrading will keep you competitive in games like PUBG!

I'd lean towards a new build, especially looking at the AMD AM5 route. Intel might not be the best bet right now because they’re switching sockets soon, so going with AMD could be more future-proof.

With €1000, if I were you, I'd just upgrade the CPU and GPU. You can get some solid AM4 CPU options and put some of the extra money towards a really good GPU. That way you can maximize performance while reusing a lot of what you already have.

Totally agree! AM4 has some great options, and your current parts can still be viable with a good GPU upgrade.

Honestly, I'd recommend going for a new build. If you can stretch your budget a bit, you could get something like a 9070 XT which would give you a huge performance boost. It'll be worth the investment!
