At 1440p and especially 4K, the GPU will usually be the limiting component, so the 13400F should be perfectly usable. Some CPU-heavy games may still become CPU-limited, but that should be the exception rather than a serious general problem. Also, don’t put much faith in online bottleneck calculators—they rarely account for the specific game, settings, frame rate, or resolution. A CPU bottleneck isn’t automatically bad if your actual FPS and frame-time consistency are good.

I’ve used a 5070 Ti with a Ryzen 5 5600X and it worked well overall, including at 4K with upscaling and high settings. The main weakness showed up in CPU-heavy open-world games, where the 1% lows were less consistent. Your 13400F should generally do better, particularly at 1440p, so I’d keep it and enjoy the card rather than replacing the platform immediately.

The 13400F is not an ideal high-end gaming CPU, but it’s far from being a bad match for a 5070 Ti at 1440p. Monitor GPU utilization and your CPU thread usage while playing instead of relying on a percentage estimate. If the GPU is normally near full utilization and the games feel smooth, there’s no urgent reason to upgrade. If you want a drop-in improvement, a 14600K could be worth considering, provided your motherboard and BIOS support it.

Even older CPUs can pair surprisingly well with a powerful GPU when the resolution and settings are high. At 1440p ultrawide or above, maxing out graphics settings will usually keep the 5070 Ti busy. A future X3D upgrade would mainly improve minimum FPS and CPU-limited games, but it probably won’t transform every game enough to justify upgrading before you actually see a problem.
