I recently got a gaming PC that previously ran Rainbow Six Siege at around 240–300 FPS. After setting it up, I'm only getting about 30–40 FPS in Call of Duty. The system has an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and a Ryzen 5 7600X six-core processor. I'm using a 165 Hz monitor and don't have an FPS cap enabled. What could be causing the low performance?

Check where your monitor cable is plugged in. It needs to be connected to the ports on the RX 7800 XT, not the motherboard’s video output. If it’s connected to the motherboard, the game may be using the processor’s integrated graphics instead of the dedicated GPU. Also make sure the AMD graphics drivers are installed and that Call of Duty is selecting the RX 7800 XT.
A 165 Hz monitor and an uncapped frame rate rule out a 60 FPS refresh-rate limit, but still check the game’s graphics settings. Make sure ray tracing isn’t enabled unnecessarily, the resolution is correct, and no extreme upscaling or power-saving mode is active. After moving the cable, verify in the game’s graphics menu that the RX 7800 XT is listed as the active display adapter.

I had the cable connected to the motherboard instead of the graphics card. I’ll move it to the RX 7800 XT and check the drivers.
