On my B170D running Android 14, music played through wired headphones briefly becomes noticeably louder whenever a notification arrives. The boost lasts a few seconds before returning to normal. I can also trigger it by moving the call or notification-volume sliders, but changing the ringtone, alarm, or media sliders does not cause it. The media-volume slider stays in the same position.
This only happens with music apps and wired headphones—not videos, phone speakers, or silent/vibrate mode. I have tested two pairs of wired headphones but cannot test Bluetooth. What could be causing this, and is there a way to keep the louder level active?

This sounds like an audio-focus or headphone sound-enhancement bug rather than the media volume actually changing. Check the phone’s Dolby, EQ, loudness, and other audio-effect settings and disable them one at a time. A setting called “BesLoudness” was found under Audio Enhancement, although disabling it did not fix the problem in this case. If the issue continues, try restarting, installing any system updates, or testing in safe mode to rule out another audio app interfering.
