What are good alternatives to CDW for Office LTSC licensing?

I'm trying to purchase a small number of Office LTSC licenses for my company, but CDW has ignored my emails and calls since April. We haven't even been able to complete the account onboarding process. Has anyone had better experiences with another reseller or licensing provider, such as Insight, SHI, PC Connection, Dell, or a local VAR?

SHI is probably the most common alternative. We’ve had good service from them for years, but other people report the opposite, so the assigned rep seems to make a huge difference with any large reseller. If your current CDW rep is unresponsive, asking for a different rep may also solve the problem.

PC Connection, Dell, MicroAge, and Data Center Warehouse are worth checking, depending on the type of Microsoft agreement you need. For Office LTSC, make sure the reseller understands whether you need retail, volume licensing, CSP, EA, or another agreement type. The correct channel can matter more than the company’s size.

Don’t overlook a local VAR or a smaller regional reseller. We moved away from the large vendors and got much faster responses and more practical help. I’d ask other IT directors in your area who they use, then compare pricing, licensing expertise, and how reliably they handle quotes and renewals.
