I'm trying to become more familiar with Git, Gitflow, and TeamCity as part of my career development. I already have the Pro Git book, but I'm looking for other useful resources or practical exercises. I don't need engineer-level expertise—I mainly want to understand the high-level concepts, feel comfortable using these tools, and recognize what can go wrong at different stages. Any recommendations?

The Pro Git book is a solid foundation, but the fastest way to learn is to use these tools on a small practice project. Create several branches, merge them, cause a few conflicts, try cherry-picking commits, and recover from mistakes like accidentally deleting or breaking a branch. Git usually makes more sense once you have to fix a problem yourself. For TeamCity, you could install the free version locally and connect it to a throwaway repository so you can experiment with builds and pipelines without affecting real work.

That makes sense. I use Git for basic day-to-day tasks, but I haven’t really encountered situations like merge conflicts, damaged branches, or needing to move commits between branches, so I’ll create a small project specifically to practice those cases.
