I have an HP Pavilion laptop that's about five or six years old, with a green backlit keyboard. I think it has a 256GB drive, but only around 9GB is free. I've already removed most of my games and currently only have Roblox installed. Whenever I free up some space, it seems to disappear again. Do I need more RAM, can I upgrade the storage, or would I be better off saving for a new desktop computer and monitor?

RAM and storage are different things, so adding RAM won’t give you more room for games. Your 256GB drive is fairly small, especially after Windows and system files are installed. Use a disk analyzer such as WizTree to see exactly what is taking up space, then remove unnecessary downloads, temporary files, old installers, and unused programs. Try to keep more than 9GB free because Windows needs working space.
An external USB SSD can provide extra space for games without opening the laptop, although game performance depends on the drive and USB connection. It won’t increase the laptop’s internal free space, but you can install supported games on it. If the laptop otherwise works well, a larger internal SSD or external SSD is probably the practical option; buy a new PC only if you also need better gaming performance.
Check whether your Pavilion supports replacing or upgrading its internal drive. If it does, swapping the 256GB drive for a larger SSD—such as 500GB or 1TB—is usually much cheaper than buying a whole new computer and will make the laptop feel faster too. The exact upgrade depends on the model, so find the model number from the label on the bottom or Windows system information before buying anything.
Would upgrading the laptop’s storage be worthwhile, or should I save for a new PC instead?

It’s an HP Pavilion from around five or six years ago, and I believe the drive is 256GB with only about 9GB remaining.
