My iPhone 12 Pro Max crashed while I was using it, and afterward I was signed out of nearly every app. Several features and roughly half of my stored data disappeared, including saved Wi-Fi networks, passwords, email accounts, and passkeys. I'm also locked out of my main account while waiting for a password-recovery email, and I can't access my college accounts because they rely on Microsoft Authenticator and a passkey. I have a test later today.
I've already tried changing the date and time settings, updating the software, restarting the phone, and using Reset All Settings. The problem began after installing an iOS 26 update, possibly the version immediately before 26.7.1. I had about 200 GB of storage available, so running out of space doesn't seem to be the cause. Has anyone experienced similar behavior, and is there anything else I should try before seeking repair?

Another possibility is that the phone ran into a storage-related failure, since low free space can sometimes cause unusual behavior and data problems. However, with around 200 GB free and app offloading enabled, a lack of storage doesn’t sound likely in your case. That makes a hardware fault or update-related corruption more plausible, so avoid erasing the device until you’ve checked what can still be backed up and spoken with support.
Repeated crashes followed by missing account and authentication data could point to a deeper hardware or storage problem rather than a simple settings issue. Since you’ve already tried the usual software fixes, back up anything you can access and have Apple or an authorized repair provider inspect the phone. A board-level repair may be possible, but it can be expensive enough that replacing an older phone makes more sense.
