I'm currently using a Seasonic Prime GX 1000W power supply with my Ryzen 7 5800X3D and a 3080 Ti. I'm planning to upgrade to the 9950X3D while keeping the same graphics card. I checked a PSU calculator, and it suggested I need about 850-900W. I know that not everything will be running at full load all the time, but I wanted to get some additional opinions on whether 1000W is sufficient or if I should consider upgrading my power supply.

1000W is definitely plenty! I ran a 3900X with a 3080 Ti on a 750W and it worked fine, but I agree that having extra power is nice.
You'll easily manage with that. A good-quality 850W would work, but having 1000W gives you more flexibility for future upgrades.
You've got plenty of headroom! Just make sure your PSU is 80+ Gold rated, which gives you efficiency. The 1000W will be just fine for your build.
Just keep in mind that 80+ Gold is more about efficiency than quality. It's good, but check other specs too!
I'm using a 1000W with a 5080 and 9950X3D without any issues, so you'll be totally fine!
Honestly, a 1000W PSU is overkill for your setup. You shouldn’t have a problem at all!
Totally agree! The Prime GX is 80+ Gold, so you're good there.
