My girlfriend recently upgraded to an iPhone 18 Pro Max, and ever since then, about half of the messages I send her fail to go through, even though I have cellular service. She can message other people without any problems, and this only happens between the two of us. Before her upgrade, my messages reached her normally. What could be causing this?

Since she can message everyone else normally, the issue may be specific to the conversation or your contact information on her new phone. Check whether your number is saved correctly, make sure neither of you has accidentally blocked the other, and try deleting the existing conversation and starting a new one. Also check whether the failed messages are being sent as iMessage or SMS, since switching between them can cause delivery problems after a phone upgrade.
She has no trouble with anyone else, and this only started after she upgraded. My messages worked normally before that, so I’m going to check the contact and messaging settings on her new phone.
