I'm using an iPhone 17 running iOS 27.0.1. I plugged the charger into a power strip and then connected my phone, but charging took a few seconds to begin instead of starting immediately. When I unplugged it and tried again, charging started normally. The phone hasn't been dropped or exposed to liquid, the cable is the original one included in the box, and the charger seems to work properly. I'm using a Joyroom 33W power adapter. Is this occasional delay normal, or could it indicate a problem with the phone or charger?

A brief delay like that usually isn’t a reason to worry. The phone and adapter may take a moment to negotiate power, especially when the adapter is connected through a power strip. Since it charged normally on the next attempt and there are no signs of damage or liquid exposure, I’d just keep an eye on it. If the delay becomes frequent, try plugging the adapter directly into a wall outlet and test with another known-good USB-C charger.
