Why is my iPhone 13 saying “Charging Not Available”?

I've got an iPhone 13 that's been giving me a strange warning when I try to charge it: "Charging Not Available. Liquid has been detected in the Lightning connector. Disconnect to allow the connector to dry. Charging now may damage your iPhone." Here's the kicker: my phone hasn't been near any water or liquid for weeks! I'm baffled about what's going on. I checked my charging cable, and it's working fine on my sister's phone. As a side note, I recently switched to charging it from my laptop while doing coursework. Oh, and I also noticed that even while plugged in, my battery is actually going down instead of up! Any thoughts?

That warning generally means your iPhone thinks the charging port is wet. It might be triggered by humidity or even sweat if you were using the phone a lot. Since your battery is draining while charging, it likely won’t charge until it clears that error. If you have a wireless charger handy, try using that for a couple of days until the port dries out. But keep an eye on it; if the issue persists, the port or sensor might be faulty.

Yeah, that's a pretty common issue. Besides moisture, it can also happen if your phone's sensor is acting up. Give it some time and see if it resolves. Maybe let the phone sit in a dry place for a while before trying to charge it again. Plus, make sure the port is clean and free from debris.
