Is a refurbished RTX 5070 Ti worth buying when a new one costs only $60 more?

I found a refurbished RTX 5070 Ti that caught my attention while shopping online. It includes what appears to be a two-year warranty, but I'm unsure whether refurbished graphics cards are reliable or likely to create troubleshooting headaches. A brand-new Gigabyte Windforce SFF model is only about $60 more, so I'm trying to decide whether the savings are worth the potential risk. I'm also open to considering alternatives if another card offers better gaming performance for the money.

First confirm whether it’s part of the official eBay Refurbished program or whether the seller is simply calling it refurbished. The official program’s two-year warranty is a meaningful benefit, but if it’s just a seller warranty and the card is nearly the same price as new, I wouldn’t take the risk. A Radeon RX 9070 XT is also worth checking since it can sometimes be found around $750–$800 and competes closely with the 5070 Ti in gaming.

I think the listing does show the official eBay Refurbished checkmark, although I don’t shop there often enough to be completely certain. I’ll verify the warranty details before deciding.

For only around $60 more, I’d lean toward buying the new Gigabyte Windforce SFF. The price difference is small enough that getting a new card with its original manufacturer coverage is probably worth it. Refurbished can be perfectly fine, but there’s always a greater chance of having to deal with returns or troubleshooting.

The refurbished deal doesn’t seem especially compelling if the new version is only slightly more expensive. I’d choose the new 5070 Ti unless the refurbished card is discounted substantially more or the two-year coverage is clearly provided by the official refurbishment program.
