I'm currently using an EVGA motherboard with a 6700k processor and 16GB of RAM, and I just got a 4K monitor. I've noticed some stuttering even with YouTube, and while I don't play the latest games, I enjoy titles like D2R, Redout, and Hades. My current GPU is a 2060, and I'm considering upgrading to a 5070. However, I've read that my old CPU might bottleneck the performance. Can anyone advise on how far I can upgrade my GPU given my setup? Also, I have a 550-watt EVGA PSU that should support the 5070.

Honestly, any GPU you pick will face some bottleneck from your CPU. Just choose whatever fits your budget and case, and you should be fine!
This all feels a bit off... using a 10-year-old CPU with such a powerful GPU? And a 550W PSU? That might not be the best combo, man. Just saying!
Yes, you will see a CPU bottleneck with the 5070, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth it. The GPU won’t reach its full potential with your older CPU, but if it fits your budget, go for it! You'll be in a good position for an eventual CPU upgrade later on.
If you can swing it, why not upgrade the CPU too? If you have the budget for the 5070, maybe you could invest in a new AM5 platform with a Ryzen 9600 and some DDR5 RAM. That would make a significant difference!
Hey, I'm not trolling! Just trying to make the most of my setup that's still working.
