Hi! I've been saving for my first desktop gaming PC and would appreciate some advice before buying the parts. I currently play Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Wuthering Waves, and I've been gaming for years. At the moment I use an ASUS gaming laptop connected to a monitor, which I may sell once the desktop is finished.
I'm in Australia and would like to keep the total around $3,000, with an absolute ceiling of roughly $4,000 AUD. My current parts list is:
- Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini V2 White
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600
- Gigabyte B850M EAGLE WIFI6E ICE DDR5 Micro ATX
- Palit GeForce RTX 5070 White OC
- TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB White DDR5-6000 CL38 32GB (2x16GB)
- Thermalright Assassin X 120 R Digital ARGB White CPU cooler
- Kingston NV2 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
- Corsair RM750e (2025) White 750W fully modular PSU
- Corsair RS120 120mm White ARGB PWM 3-pack
- Arctic MX-6 thermal paste
- Windows 11 Home USB
The parts appear to be compatible, but I'd like to know whether there are better-value alternatives, particularly for the CPU, graphics card, power supply, fans, and storage. I'm also open to suggestions that would keep the build within my Australian budget.

It’s worth comparing the local prices of the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GRE with the RTX 5070. Depending on Australian pricing, one of those Radeon cards might offer better performance or value for this budget.
The Ryzen 5 7600 isn’t a bad choice, but an X3D processor could improve gaming performance if the price difference is reasonable. That said, at 1440p or 4K, the RTX 5070 will usually be the limiting component, so upgrading the CPU may not be worthwhile unless you also plan to upgrade the graphics card later.
The overall build looks reasonable, but I’d compare the Corsair parts with alternatives before buying. Corsair doesn’t manufacture every product it sells, so quality can vary between models. A Seasonic power supply would be worth considering, and Lian Li fans may be a better match if they fit your budget and case layout.
With a budget approaching $4,000 AUD, you may be able to move up to an RX 9070 XT and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D. The extra 3D V-Cache can be a major advantage in games, so it’s worth checking current prices before settling on the Ryzen 5 7600.
Thanks! I’ll compare those options and see how they fit into the budget.

That’s really helpful to know. I’ll look into Seasonic and Lian Li alternatives.
