Hi! I've been saving for my first proper gaming PC after researching builds for a while. I currently play Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Wuthering Waves, and I'm using an ASUS Aspire gaming laptop connected to my monitor. I'll probably sell the laptop once the new PC is finished.
I'm in Australia, and my target budget is around $3,000, with an absolute maximum of about $4,000. My current parts list is:
- Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini V2 White
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600
- Gigabyte B850M EAGLE WIFI6E ICE DDR5 Micro ATX
- Palit GeForce RTX 5070 White OC
- TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB White DDR5-6000 CL38 32GB (2x16GB)
- Thermalright Assassin X 120 R Digital ARGB White
- Kingston NV2 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
- Corsair RM750e (2025) White 750W fully modular PSU
- Corsair RS120 120mm White ARGB PWM 3-pack
- Arctic MX-6 thermal paste
- Windows 11 Home USB
The parts appear to be compatible, but the build is currently closer to $4,000 than $3,000. I'd appreciate advice on compatibility, better-value alternatives, and whether the CPU, graphics card, power supply, and cooling choices make sense for my games and budget.

The overall system looks reasonable, but I’d take a closer look at the Corsair parts. Corsair sources different products from various manufacturers, so quality and support can vary by model. For the power supply, consider a well-reviewed Seasonic unit, and look at Lian Li fans if they fit your budget and case setup.
With a budget near $4,000, you might be able to move up to an RX 9070 XT and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D. The extra 3D V-Cache can be a big advantage in CPU-heavy games, so it’s worth checking current prices.
I’ll definitely compare those options and prices. Thanks for the suggestion!
The Ryzen 5 7600 is already a solid choice, but an X3D processor could be worth considering if you have room in the budget. That said, for 1440p or 4K gaming with an RTX 5070, the graphics card will usually be the limiting component, so upgrading the CPU isn’t essential. The 7600 should be more than capable for this build.
That makes sense. I’ll avoid overspending on the CPU if the 7600 is already enough for my resolution and games.
It’s worth comparing the RTX 5070 with AMD’s RX 9070 XT or RX 9070 GRE in Australian pricing. Depending on the deals available, one of those cards may offer better performance or value for your budget.

That’s helpful to know. I’ll compare the Seasonic and Lian Li options before buying anything.
