I updated my Windows 10 today, and after the restart, my monitors went dark and went to sleep mode. I've tried resetting several times, and even swapped the monitors to different ports on my GPU and directly to the motherboard, but all I get is a 'searching for signal' message before they go to sleep again. The GPU lights up and the fans are running fine, and the same goes for the CPU fans. I'm wondering if the update messed up something and why it won't even show the BIOS screen.
Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS AM4 ATX
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- GPU: SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 5700XT
I've tried booting into BIOS with F2, but nothing happens. It feels like the system is alive but not responding. I noticed my motherboard has a QLED system to identify faults, and when I plugged the monitors into the motherboard and unplugged the GPU, the light stayed lit white. After further attempts, the QLED cycling through yellow (RAM), red (CPU), and finally a solid white light has me confused. What could be going on here? Does my GPU need to be replaced or is it possibly a motherboard issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure to check the QLED indicators closely. If it sticks to the white light for VGA, that likely points to a problem with the GPU or the port. If you’re comfortable with it, try reseating your GPU again, or even test with a different one if you have access to one. Just be cautious with handling components.
You might also want to consider checking your display cables. Sometimes, a faulty cable can cause issues like this, especially if you’ve unplugged and moved things around. And hey, it's great you managed to get into BIOS once! If you do get back in, check if your boot device is selected correctly and see if there are any unusual settings. Ask around on Discord too; you might find someone who has faced a similar issue.
First, try clearing the CMOS. It often helps reset the motherboard to default settings, which might fix boot issues after an update. Just pull out the CMOS battery for a few minutes and put it back in, then try booting again. It's a simple step that can sometimes resolve these types of problems.
