I'll be attending AWS re:Invent this year as an All Builders Welcome grant recipient, and it will be my first time at the event. I'd love to connect with other grant recipients, first-time attendees, and people interested in cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, infrastructure, and software engineering. I'm especially interested in attending sessions together, meeting for coffee, and joining technical conversations.
For anyone who has attended before, what sessions or activities were most valuable? How early should I reserve sessions, and how should I organize my schedule? I'd also appreciate advice on getting between venues, what to bring, and any underrated workshops, networking events, or community meetups. What do you wish you had known before your first re:Invent?

Congratulations! Plan your sessions as early as possible, but don’t pack every minute of the day. Leave room for networking, exploring, workshops, and unexpected opportunities. Comfortable shoes are essential since you’ll be walking between venues, and community meetups can be a great way to meet other builders.
I’m also attending re:Invent for the first time after receiving an All Builders Welcome grant. It would be great to connect with other grant recipients and compare plans for the event.
I accepted my grant about two weeks ago but haven’t received additional instructions yet. Check whether you completed the event registration through the link provided with the grant, since that may be required before the next-step details are sent.

Thanks! Registration opens on October 6, so I’m planning to organize my session schedule as soon as it becomes available.
