When I start my PC, the keyboard and mouse power on normally, but the monitor remains black. I have to press the monitor's power button to turn it off and then turn it back on before it displays an image. The same thing happens after every shutdown and restart. The monitor is connected through DisplayPort. What could be causing this, and how can I fix it?

Since you’re using DisplayPort, the problem may be the monitor and graphics card failing to negotiate the connection during boot. Testing another DisplayPort cable, another port on the graphics card, or HDMI can help confirm whether it’s a DisplayPort handshake or power-saving issue.
Try a different display cable if you have one, and manually select the correct input on the monitor instead of leaving it on automatic detection. Also check the monitor’s settings for options like Deep Sleep, DisplayPort power saving, or other standby features. DisplayPort can sometimes have handshake issues during startup.

I switched off automatic input detection, and that fixed it. Thanks a lot!
