What are the best 2.1 speakers for a gaming PC under €400?

I'm looking for a complete 2.1 speaker system for my gaming PC, ideally staying within a €300–400 budget. I'm not chasing high-end home-theater features such as DTS-MA support—I already have a quality receiver-based setup for my TV. I mainly want enjoyable gaming audio with a proper subwoofer, so please avoid basic 2.0 suggestions unless they deliver unusually strong bass on their own. I'm also not looking for the Logitech Z623 or Klipsch Lumina 2.1, since I've already researched those options. If possible, I'd also appreciate advice on connecting the speakers: my ASUS TUF X870-PLUS GAMING motherboard doesn't have an optical output, so should I use the 3.5 mm jack, a USB DAC, or Bluetooth?

The Edifier S350DB is a strong match for what you’re after. It’s a complete 2.1 system with a dedicated subwoofer, good connectivity, and plenty of power for a desktop gaming setup. It should fit comfortably within your budget and is generally a better-rounded choice than many typical PC speaker kits.

Would the S360DB be worth paying about €70 more for? Also, since my motherboard has no optical output, would you recommend the 3.5 mm connection, a USB DAC, or Bluetooth?

For a compact and inexpensive option, the Creative Pebble series is worth considering, although it won’t provide the same room-filling bass or overall performance as a larger 2.1 system. If you’re willing to skip the subwoofer entirely, the Ruark MR1 speakers are another higher-quality option, but they’re a different kind of setup and may not suit your preference for dedicated low-end output.
