I'm on the hunt for a super affordable laptop that I can take to school and on trips. I plan to run Linux on it and maybe do a bit of light gaming as well. Any recommendations for something that's truly dirt cheap?

If you're really tight on budget, consider getting an Android tablet and installing Termux to run Linux apps. A cheap tablet could be around $35, and you can get a Bluetooth keyboard for about $9. It's a workaround but might do the trick!
Have you thought about checking with local IT shops? Sometimes they have old laptops that are just sitting around and might even give them away if they're about to throw them out. Worth a shot!
That's a great idea! Although where I live, folks tend to hang onto their old stuff forever. That might not work out for me.
Thanks for the suggestion! I have thought about a tablet, but I'm really leaning towards a laptop. Trying to get a tablet to act like one just feels limiting.
