Visual Studio 2026 was pushing normally until I uploaded a Blazor project. Since then, the Git controls in Visual Studio fail to push changes from any of my projects. GitHub still works normally through Visual Studio Code with the same account, so the problem seems specific to Visual Studio's Git integration. I prefer using the graphical controls instead of the command line, so what should I check to diagnose and fix this?

Open Visual Studio’s built-in terminal or Output window and inspect the Git log while attempting the push. The graphical controls use the same underlying Git commands, so the error there should explain whether it’s an authentication problem, rejected remote, branch issue, or something else.
It may also be worth completely closing and restarting Visual Studio. A restart can clear a stuck Git or account session, especially if the issue began immediately after a push.

A push error usually contains the important clue. If the local branch is behind the remote, for example, you may need to pull and resolve a merge conflict before pushing again.
