Visual Studio 2026 was pushing normally until I uploaded a Blazor project. Since then, the Git push controls in Visual Studio have stopped pushing changes for all of my projects. Git still works correctly in Visual Studio Code with the same GitHub account, so the issue seems specific to Visual Studio. I'm comfortable using the command line, but I'd prefer to keep using Visual Studio's built-in Git interface. What should I check?

Try closing and reopening Visual Studio first. A restart can sometimes clear a stuck Git or authentication state.
Check Visual Studio’s built-in terminal or Git output window and look for the exact error from the failed push. The graphical controls usually log the same information there. Without that message, it’s hard to identify whether the problem is authentication, the remote configuration, or something else.

If the push is being rejected, the error should explain why. A merge conflict is one possibility, and you’ll need to resolve and commit those changes before pushing again.
