I'm in a bit of a dilemma about choosing between the 9070 XT and the 5070 Ti for my next GPU upgrade. I know the market is rough right now—I've had my share of bad timing since I built my PC during the GPU shortage in 2020, and my 3060 is finally giving up on me for the games I want to play. I received $300 in Amazon credit, and I'm trying to decide if I should go for the 9070 XT, which I can get for about $800, or the 5070 Ti, priced at around $912. I'm open to the AMD card as I don't stick to one brand out of loyalty, but I have mostly used NVIDIA. While I'd love to wait for better prices, I'm not sure if that will happen, so I could really use your thoughts on which card might serve me well for a similar amount of time as my old 3060 did, which was about five years.

From what I've seen, a lot of people are leaning towards the 5070 Ti, even if it costs a bit more. But I get how tough it is—some folks have been reporting issues with the lower-end models of the 5070 Ti. It's definitely a tricky choice, and I'm kind of in the same situation as you!
As an NVIDIA user, I have to mention that I had some major issues after the latest driver update—it actually messed up my 4070 Ti. I'm not sure how it plays into the 50 series, but I think it's worth mentioning.
For that price difference, I’d personally go with NVIDIA. They tend to perform really well, especially in gaming, but it ultimately depends on what you're looking for.
That's crazy! I've heard about those driver issues but haven’t experienced them myself. Maybe it's just certain games or setups? I think it's definitely worth checking how the 5 series is handling all this.
