I'm facing some serious write speed issues with my Crucial MX500 SSD, which I primarily use for my Steam library. Whenever I try to install a game, I get disk errors and can't complete the installation. I ran CrystalMark to check the SSD's performance, and the write speeds are terrible. For reference, I have a much older boot drive that performs better than this SSD.
I read that the cache might be full, so I tried to use the Windows optimization tool to issue a TRIM command, but it says optimization isn't available. I also installed the Crucial Storage Executive software, but the firmware is already up to date. I'm at a loss here. Any advice on what could be wrong or how to fix it?

Have you checked the SMART attributes using CrystalDiskInfo yet? It can provide insights on the health of your drive, and if there are underlying issues, you'll likely see them there.
Yep, I checked, and it shows good health.
Could it be that your SSD is fake or has faults? If you bought it from Amazon, it might be worth checking if other buyers had similar issues.
Not saying it’s impossible, but I did get it from Amazon.
The only other possibility I can think of is that your motherboard might be dying.
