Best 1080p PC Build for 75+ FPS in Single Player AAA Games?

Asked By GamerDude42 On

I'm looking to build a PC that can handle 1080p gaming at 75+ FPS on ultra settings, especially for upcoming AAA titles like GTA and The Witcher. I want to find the perfect CPU and GPU combo and I'm open to buying second-hand components. I plan to utilize DLSS or FSR for better performance and keep shadows on medium. I'm also interested in ensuring smooth gameplay in No Man's Sky without any planetary stutter. Would 64 GB of RAM be necessary for this setup?

What’s your budget looking like, and where are you located? Are you also factoring in a monitor in this build? And do you need Wi-Fi support?

I’m focused on 1080p, not looking for a super expensive GPU like the 4090. I'm based in India and I have my own monitor. Plus, I have 1 Gbps Wi-Fi.

When it comes to GTA, it's really hard to predict the requirements since it's still up in the air. There's a chance we might not see a PC version until as late as 2028. For the time being, focus on what’s available now and make sure your build is adaptable for future games.

Yeah, it's tough to estimate. If the PS5 is showcasing rough specs, we might consider an equivalent PC setup. Just be ready for surprises!

Right? Hard to guess without more info on the game!

How about pairing the 5800XT with a 7700XT? That combo could work for 1080p gaming.

The 5800X3D is pretty much unavailable here. People who have it are charging sky-high prices.

You might want to consider a 5600X with either a 6700XT or 7700XT alongside 32GB of RAM. It would help if I knew more about your budget though!

Is the 7700XT really that good? I heard some mixed reviews about its performance compared to the 6700XT.

Honestly, I'd go for the 7800X3D and an AMD Radeon 9070XT for that setup. You probably won’t need DLSS for 1080p. If you're looking to save some cash, you might land a used 7700XT or maybe a 7600.

Those specs sound like they’d run 300 fps at 1080p, which feels like overkill!

That setup seems aimed more at high-end 1440p or even 4K, which is a bit much for just 1080p gaming.
