Thinking About Upgrading My PC – Need Some Guidance!

I currently have a PC setup with a Ryzen 5 5600 processor and a 3070 Ti graphics card, along with 48GB of DDR4 RAM (I added an extra 16GB stick I had lying around). With my birthday coming up, I've saved about $1200 AUD for an upgrade. I'm considering getting a new graphics card, possibly the 5070 Ti, which would require saving an additional $400, or the 5060 Ti with 16GB. I'm also contemplating whether I should upgrade my CPU. I could go for a Ryzen 7 5700 for around $200 and pair it with the 5060 Ti. Any suggestions on the best route to take for my upgrade? Thanks in advance!

I think the 3070 Ti is still a solid card, so you might get more bang for your buck by upgrading your CPU instead. There are some fantastic options like the Ryzen 9 9800X3D that could improve performance significantly. Plus, DDR4 RAM is good as long as you have decent speeds, so a full motherboard, CPU, and RAM swap could yield better results than just swapping the GPU.

Totally agree! Your current setup still has room to grow. If you can get a decent motherboard and CPU combo, you'll notice a big performance boost.
