Is the 5070 Actually Worth Buying?

I've seen a ton of posts and videos claiming that the 5070 is a scam at its $550 price point, with many people suggesting to go for the 4070 Super instead. The issue is, I can hardly find a 4070 Super for under $800, and they're often out of stock. Meanwhile, I can get a 5070 for $550 at my local Best Buy. Given the price difference, is it really a waste of money to go with the 5070?

Honestly, the 5070 is pretty solid; it doesn't provide a huge generational uplift, but it's competitive, especially since you can't find a 9070 at $550. With features like DLSS 4 and FSR4, it performs really well. If you're coming from a 20 series or older card, this is a decent upgrade. Just don't expect it to beat the 4070 in every way.

I agree! The generational uplift argument is overhyped. Most gamers aren't upgrading every year, and if you're coming from older cards, the 5070 is a solid option.
