Is it a good idea to invest more in a monitor than in a GPU?

I'm currently using an RX 6700 XT for gaming, and while I know it isn't as powerful as an RTX 5070 Ti, I'm looking to upgrade my monitor to an OLED 2560x1440P. I'm really aiming for better visual quality with vibrant colors and a sharper image. Honestly, 1080P ultra just isn't cutting it for me anymore. I'm curious if moving to a MiniLED or OLED monitor would provide a significant improvement, even with my current GPU.

If you're into graphic design or things that need color accuracy, spending more on the monitor makes perfect sense. It’s really about how you plan to use it. If you’re gaming, a higher quality monitor completely transforms the experience!

I think investing in a good monitor is totally worth it! The RX 6700 XT can handle 1440p just fine. Plus, monitor technology keeps improving; you can always upgrade the GPU later. Go for the monitor now and really enjoy a better view in games!

Oh, for sure! I went from a regular monitor to an OLED, and the difference was night and day. The colors and contrast are amazing. Once you try an OLED, especially for games, you definitely won't regret your decision!

Absolutely! The 6700 XT is actually capable of delivering a solid 1440p experience, especially if you're willing to adjust some settings. Lowered settings at 1440p look way better than maxed-out 1080p—trust me, once you try 1440p, you'll find it hard to go back!

Seriously, 1080p feels like it’s in the past now. It’s so grainy compared to higher resolutions.
