Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a video editing laptop to use at work. I don't need it to have top-notch specs since I already have a powerful setup at home with an NVIDIA 3080. I'm just looking for something that can handle video editing without long wait times, and a decent display for color grading is important too. I typically shoot in 4K and use Premiere Pro, so running proxies is fine by me. I'm hoping to stay within a budget of $300 to $350 maximum, ideally looking for used models or ones that are easily upgradeable. Any suggestions?

Honestly, finding a laptop around $300 that can handle 4K video editing is going to be tough. You could get an older model, but it’s going to struggle with editing and rendering. A decent used Mac would be around $2000. If you're open to it, you could check out Lenovo workstation laptops; I’ve seen some good ones around $600, but be aware that the screens won’t be great for grading.
