Hey everyone! I'm playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on my setup which includes an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11400F with 6 cores, a Radeon RX 7700 XT, and 16GB of RAM. I've noticed that when I move around in the game, it often stutters or freezes for a second, and checking the Task Manager reveals that my CPU is at 100%. I'm wondering if I should upgrade my CPU or motherboard to improve performance. How can I find suitable replacements for my current setup?

Honest opinion? Just enjoy the game! A lot of people overthink the whole "bottlenecking" idea. Sometimes it’s best to just dive in and have fun with what you have.
I recommend upgrading the CPU first. Since you have a B560 motherboard, stick to 10th or 11th Gen Intel CPUs. Make sure to check Gigabyte's website for a list of compatible parts.
First, check your GPU utilization while playing. If it's above 90%, that means the bottleneck might not be your CPU after all. It’s worth watching that before making any changes.
Your setup is solid for RDR2. Can you pinpoint what specific issues you're facing? If everything else runs fine, you might not need an upgrade at all.
Are you using an SSD or NVMe drive? Playing at lower resolutions can be more CPU intensive, so if you're currently on 1080p, try switching to 1440p and see if that improves the stuttering.
Yeah, I'm on an SSD and I already play at 1440p.
