I've been dealing with a really frustrating issue for months where my TP-Link TL-WN75N WiFi adapter keeps disconnecting whenever I try to do a large download. I've tried adjusting all the power management settings and done plenty of research online, but nothing seems to work. I'm starting to wonder if it's time to buy a new adapter. Any advice?

It sounds like you might have a pretty outdated adapter. The TL-WN75N isn't the best performer these days and could be the root of your issues. Investing in a newer, more reliable model could really help.
Have you checked if your drivers are fully updated? Sometimes outdated drivers can cause disconnections. Also, if possible, consider switching to a wired connection for the best stability.
I can't use Ethernet due to my setup; the router is too far away.
