Hey everyone! I've noticed that ever since the church across the street re-activated their bells, my PC starts dropping frames and stuttering for a second or two just before they ring. It's not super annoying, but I'm concerned it might harm my computer in the long run. This issue began when they replaced the old bells a few months ago. Does anyone have ideas on what could be causing this? I'd like to gather some info before I go speak with the town about it. Thanks!

Are you sure that’s a real bell? Many churches have switched to electronic bells, which can draw quite a bit of power. If that's the case, when the bell system is activated, it might be causing a dip in voltage. I had a similar experience where a restaurant next to my house had issues with power fluctuations affecting my lights because we shared a transformer. If you're on the same transformer as the church, that might explain what you're experiencing.

I don’t think the bells themselves are the issue. It could be something related to the electrical system near you changing its frequency at certain times.
