Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide on the best RAM for my setup with an AMD Ryzen 3950X and ROG Strix X570 motherboard. I've seen that C18 DDR4 3200MHz 128GB might be the way to go, but I've also heard that 3600MHz could be better. I'm not an expert on RAM specs, so I'm not sure if having more RAM is always better or if there's a sweet spot. I really want to get the fastest RAM possible, so any insights from those more knowledgeable would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you’re looking for the best performance, aim for the highest speed with the lowest latency. Kits over 4000MHz can be tricky to run at those speeds, so I’d keep it between 3200MHz and 3600MHz. The performance difference isn't huge unless the timings vary significantly, so make sure to balance speed and latency!
I’m curious why you’re considering 128GB? Unless you have specific needs like content creation or virtual machines, you might not need that much RAM. More isn't always better, especially if you're not using a workload that demands it. Just make sure your RAM choice goes well with the Ryzen CPU, as it can impact performance!
Honestly, 128GB of RAM is a bit excessive for most regular use cases unless you're running servers or doing heavy multitasking. For gaming or standard productivity, either 16GB or 32GB would be plenty. If you do decide to go for speed, DDR4 3600MHz is a solid choice over 3200MHz, but it's important to check the timings, too. Just don’t overspend on RAM you might not fully utilize!
