Hey everyone! This is my first post here. I recently upgraded my setup from a Ryzen 5600 to an Intel i5 12600K. I also got a 7800 XT as a gift from my cousin, who's an IT technician. I'm mainly a 1080p gamer, but I'm looking to switch to 1440p eventually, though I can't afford a 1440p monitor just yet. I'm curious if my current processor will handle 1080p gaming well while I save up, and whether it can also manage 1440p gaming once I make the switch. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, you should be good with that setup! I had a 4070 Ti with a 12600K for a bit, and it ran smoothly. The 4070 Ti is faster than the 7800 XT, so you should have no issues at 1080p or even 1440p when you get the monitor.
Definitely! I have the same CPU with a 5070 Ti and a 21:9 1440p monitor. I can run games on max settings at 120fps, like Destiny 2 and Division 2, no problem. Sure, not every game is lightweight, and Cyberpunk might challenge your gear, but overall, your combo is solid for gaming at those resolutions.
Thanks for the reassurance!
