Did I Score a Good Deal on my New RTX 5070 for $550?

I just picked up an RTX 5070 for $550, coming from an older 1080, and I'm curious if I made a smart choice. I've been closely monitoring GPU prices for the past month since I really needed an upgrade, but the market has been brutal with most new cards like the 9070XT and 5070Ti costing over $850. I'm also considering getting a Ryzen 7800x3D to pair with the GPU for better performance in CPU-intensive games and to optimize my high refresh rate monitor. Any thoughts or recommendations? It's been a while since my last build, and I could use some advice!

As long as you're happy with your purchase, that's what matters! But seriously, at that price, it's hard to complain. Enjoy those frames!

Congrats on the 5070! Getting a GPU at MSRP these days is like finding a unicorn. I'd say you did great! You'll be happy with the performance, especially coming from a 1080.

Seriously, MSRP is the way to go! It's all about not falling for those scalper prices. You made a solid choice!

Yes! You did good. Now go buy yourself a nice CPU or some SSDs to go with that card!

Honestly, for $550, that's probably the best new GPU you can get right now. I almost went for the 5070 but ended up with a 9070XT for $700. You're in a good spot!

Nice! I’ve heard great things about the 9070XT too. Can’t go wrong with either!

It's a miracle anyone can grab GPUs at MSRP nowadays. You did well!
