I'm having trouble with my Apple Pencil 1 not writing on my iPad 9. I've made sure it has battery life, it connects to the iPad without issues, and I've even tried swapping out the tips, but nothing seems to work. What else can I try to fix this?

First, you might want to see if you can test someone else's Apple Pencil 1 to figure out if the issue is with your pencil or the iPad itself. That way, you can narrow it down a bit!
While your pencil is paired with the iPad (but not charging), go to Settings > General > About, and scroll down to see if there's an Apple Pencil option. If you see it, tap it to check the serial number. If the option isn't there, the pencil might be disconnecting. If it is there, examine the internal tip; give it a look to see if it's bent or damaged. Even minor damage could cause issues.
The serial number does show up, and the tip looks perfectly straight. Could you help me with uploading a photo?
Unfortunately, I don't have anyone nearby with one to try that out.
