I'm trying to decide between the PNY GeForce RTX 5070 Overclocked Triple Fan Graphics Card for $549 and the Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 9070, which I just purchased for $669. I'm a bit worried about the 12GB VRAM on the 5070. I want to play games like Borderlands IV, Starfield, and Age of Empires on a 1440p monitor. Is the extra $120 for the 9070 worth it? I've seen some benchmarks indicating the 5070 may perform better overall.

I'd say grab the 5070. It has great performance for the price, and for 1440p gaming, the VRAM isn't a huge concern right now. Just know that if you need to upgrade your PSU to 750W as NVIDIA suggests, that could change the cost-effectiveness of your choice.
Would you still recommend the 5070 even if you had to buy a new PSU?
