I'm trying to decide between the Intel i5 13600KF and the Ryzen 5 5700X3D for my new build. Does anyone have insights on which one performs better overall?

If you're sticking with DDR4, I’d suggest the 5700X3D. But if you’re going for DDR5, definitely consider an AM5 AMD CPU instead.
If you're building new, I’d recommend going for the AM5 platform with either the 7500F or 7600. It’s a solid option for future upgrades.
Performance-wise, the i5 13600KF is a bit faster, but the 7600X is pretty close in performance. Plus, it has a better upgrade path and is generally easier to cool. Just keep in mind, if you go with the 13600KF, you might need a BIOS update first.
Counter to what others say, if you find a 12600KF for around $110, that's a good deal with the right DDR4 setup. It's a great option for gaming even if there's no real upgrade path from it.
That sounds interesting! I’ll keep an eye out for those deals on the 12600KF.
