How can I optimize my PC for playing Minecraft without lag?

Hey everyone! I'm having some trouble with my PC while trying to play Minecraft, especially the Java version with shaders. It used to run smoothly, but now it lags even with a render distance of just 10 chunks. I have a pretty decent setup with 16GB of RAM and a GeForce RTX 2060 Super graphics card, and I've ensured that my drivers are up to date as of May 12. If anyone has tips or adjustments I can make to improve my gaming experience, I'd really appreciate your help! Thanks!

Shaders can really impact performance, especially on lower-end setups. You might want to try allocating more RAM to Minecraft through the launcher settings if you haven’t already. Also, if you can manage without shaders, playing without them could boost your performance. Additionally, using optimization mods like Sodium could really help if you’re not already using them. It's worth experimenting to see what works for you!

I've heard that some people have better FPS with shaders depending on their setup, but it can be hit or miss. Definitely try allocating more RAM!
