Should I Use My 10-Year-Old PSU for My New Build?

I'm considering using my 10-year-old Corsair HX850 PSU for my new build, but I'm unsure if that's a smart move. It seems to be functioning fine, but I'm not familiar with the signs that indicate it might fail. I'm planning to get a powerful 7900XTX Hellhound graphics card, and I want to know if holding onto the old PSU is a bad idea. I'd rather save around £150 for a replacement if I can. What do you think?

It's generally not a good idea to use a PSU that's out of warranty, and considering your PSU is a decade old, it's reached that point. Components in PSUs can deteriorate over time, and it could fail without warning, which is why it's usually better to go for a new one, especially with high-end components.

Yeah, your PSU is high quality, but the risk of failure isn't worth saving cash on it.
