Is It Okay for NVMe SSDs to Sit Idle for Months?

Hey everyone, my motherboard is currently out for RMA, and I've removed my FireCuda 530 and Samsung 980 Pro NVMe SSDs to keep them safe while I wait for its return, which could be a month or two. I wrapped them in paper, but I'm a bit anxious. Can these SSDs handle being stored outside of a system for that long? Should I be worried about potential data loss or damage from just sitting there? Any tips on how to protect them would be appreciated!

Not a problem at all! Modern SSDs are designed to handle periods of inactivity without data loss. You're good to go for a couple of months without worrying about them.”,

No concerns here! Consumer SSDs are made to last, even when they're not powered on. They typically have a minimum offline retention of about a year, and yours are likely in great shape if they still have a lot of their lifespan left.

You're totally fine letting the SSDs sit for that long! They aren't like mechanical drives that require constant power. It's actually pretty common for hardware to sit around for a while without any issues.“,
