Hey, everyone! I had my iPad stolen a few months back, but thankfully I still have *Find My* activated on it. The location shows up as a large apartment building, but there are so many units that I can't figure out which one it's in. I've even gone to the building, but I'm stuck as I have no clue where to look. Is there any way to narrow it down further? Can Apple or law enforcement help in any way? I realize *Find My* isn't super precise down to apartment numbers, but I'm desperate for some advice or similar experiences. By the way, it's an 11-inch M1 iPad Pro, Wi-Fi only.

You might want to try setting off the alarm and standing in the hallway to see if you can hear it. But honestly, you might be out of luck until they move it somewhere else. I know someone whose device was pinging at a storage facility, and despite searching, they never found it because it was too noisy to hear the alarm.
Unfortunately, *Find My* isn’t designed for stolen devices, just lost ones. It’s more about loss prevention rather than actively retrieving them when stolen since it assumes no one is intentionally trying to keep your device from you.
Yeah, my brother had a similar experience. They tried sounding the alarm at a self-storage place, but they never pinpointed it. Just keep checking the location, and hope for the best!
